Eastminster Christian Preschool Begins this week!

Family, please join us in welcoming back our Preschoolers next week! It’s been a quiet summer without them here, but we look forward to their smiling faces as we watch them grow throughout the year. Here’s some helpful info for Preschool parents:

August 12, 6PM: Parent Night
August 13, 10AM & 11AM: Meet & Greet
August 134, 9AM: First day of school

Women’s Ministry

WOMEN’S MINISTRY KICK-OFF LUNCHEON: Get to know your sisters in Christ and hear about our ministry plans for the year with food and fellowship. On Sunday, August 18 at 12:30PM in the Great Hall, Valerie Mote will be speaking with us about the prison ministry work she does, and we’ll have spuds, salad and ice cream along with fixings to enjoy. We are asking for women to donate items and money to support the ministry visit epres.org/kickoff to see a list of the items!

Calling all Artists!

“EXPRESS YOUR FAITH” Art Gallery is a scripture based art showing. Art, Music, and even poetry is a way that you can Express Your Faith. Create through a scripture, on your own, in a group, or with your children. Submissions are due by September 4 with your name and scripture for your art piece. For more information email Kelly French for more information. Art showings take place September 11 during Wednesday Night Dinner and Sunday September 15, 9AM-12:30PM.

Starting Points: Fall 2019 Class

OUR STARTING POINTS CLASS is designed for all guests wishing to join us here at Eastminster Presbyterian Church as covenant partners. Please plan to join us Sundays now through September 1, 10:15-11AM in the Library, located in the Christian Life Center. This is a great time to get to know other visitors, our Ministerial Staff, Elders and ministry teams. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for the class, please contact Teri Capparucci.

Wednesday Night Dinner, Study & Kid’s Program

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS will resume on August 14 at 5:30PM. We’ve missed you all dearly and are excited to resume weekly fellowship. Our Wednesday night kids program also lets kindergarteners through 5^th graders enjoy a fun, loving, Christ-centered atmosphere filled with Children’s devotion, games, crafts, songs and more. Childcare is available for our younger children.

Eagle Scout Project

ONE OF OUR COVENANT PARTNERS AND BOY SCOUTS, John Bunch is in the planning phases of his Eagle Project. John is working with Kelly Fry to design and build an area in the library designated specifically for the children of the church. It will be for Children’s Time during the Contemporary Service and as a place for children to spend time reading. There will be new bookshelves, a TV, a DVD player, children’s paintings and other children’s themed decor. John is requesting contributions of any amount to assist with the project. If a contribution is made via check please write Eagle Project in the memo line, you can also make a contribution in our give portal online. Thank you for your support!

Sharptop Fall Retreat

SHARPTOP IS OUR ANNUAL YOUTH MINISTRY KICK-OFF RETREAT in Jasper, GA! We join other churches from around Atlanta, and reserve Young Life’s Sharptop Cove for an awesome weekend full of passionate worship, crowded cabins, and an entire afternoon of fun! There are zip lines, rope swings, a climbing wall, ropes course, pool, frisbee golf course, and beautiful open green space! Grades 6-12 are welcome to sign-up online at sharptop.today.
