SIGN UPS FOR OUR 2019 ADVENT DEVOTIONAL are open now through October 31. The Advent Devotional signups are for anyone who would like to share their faith by writing a one-page reflection on one of our selected passages. The theme this year is “Faith, Hope & Love.” Visit epres.org/advent to sign up, we encourage you to participate this year. What a joy it is to share the love during Advent Season. It will be here before you know it!

Children’s Choir

CHILDREN’S CHOIR IS IN SEARCH OF A VOLUNTEER to help lead, assist and direct our Children’s Choir this fall. Children’s Choir meets once a week on Wednesday Nights from 6-6:30PM. If you love music, can play the piano and enjoy ‘joyful noise’, please contact Kelly Fry (kelly.fry@epres.org) for additional details.

Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund

THE OUTREACH TEAM IS PARTNERING with a Missouri based Christian organization, Convoy of Hope, to assist those in the Bahamas impacted by Hurricane Dorian. We have set up a Disaster Relief Fund to accept financial donations that will be sent to Convoy of Hope.  They will use that money to provide much needed supplies like water, food, and household items to the Bahamas.  To contribute, please write a check to Eastminster Presbyterian Church and in the memo line, write “Hurricane Dorian.” The Outreach team is contributing $1,000 to the fund to start with. If you have any questions please contact Norm Baur, (nbaur@bellsouth.net ) or Mary Lynne Nielson, (mlnielson925@msn.com).  Thank you in advance for your contribution!

Kairos Hour of Prayer

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYING FOR KAIROS WOMEN and volunteers at Lee Arrendale State Prison from 5-6PM on October 17 in the Sanctuary. At Lee Arrendale, volunteers bring in a prayer chain during the weekend. It circles the group as a visible symbol of everyone who is praying for them over the weekend. When they realize people they don’t know are praying for them it humbles them and hearts are softened. Contact Christi Laverty, (c.laverty@comcast.net) with questions.
