Advent Devotional Writers’ Sign Up

SIGN UPS FOR OUR 2019 ADVENT DEVOTIONAL are open now through October 31. The Advent Devotional signups are for anyone who would like to share their faith by writing a one-page reflection on one of our selected passages. The theme this year is “Faith, Hope & Love.” Visit epres.org/advent to sign up, we encourage you to participate this year. What a joy it is to share the love during Advent Season. It will be here before you know it!

Kairos Hour of Prayer

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYING FOR KAIROS WOMEN and volunteers at Lee Arrendale State Prison from 5-6PM on October 17 in the Sanctuary. At Lee Arrendale, volunteers bring in a prayer chain during the weekend. It circles the group as a visible symbol of everyone who is praying for them over the weekend. When they realize people they don’t know are praying for them it humbles them and hearts are softened. Contact Christi Laverty, (c.laverty@comcast.net) with questions.

All Saints Day: Sunday, November 3
ALL SAINTS’ DAY, also known as All Hallows’ Day, Hallowmas, Feast of All Saints or Solemnity of All Saints, is a Christian Festival celebrated in honor of all the saints, known and unknown. On November 3 we will continue this tradition, with a Solemn Moment of Remembrance.  We will read the names of our Covenant Partners who have died within the past year to commemorate their new life with Jesus in heaven.  If you wish to remember a loved one from your immediate family that has passed this year, please send their name to Leigh Sain.

Family News
You are cordially invited to attend the marriage ceremony of Leanne Brooke Chesser & Nathan Stephen Wendrick on October 26, 2019 at 4:30PM. While the Chesser family wishes we could host everyone at the reception, it will be by invitation only.
