Eastminster Christian Preschool Presents: Breakfast with Santa

THE PRESCHOOL’S BREAKFAST WITH SANTA event is on Saturday, December 7 from 9-11AM in the Christian Life Center. Santa and his elves will be there and a photographer will capture the moment. We will also serve a pancake breakfast. All are welcome, you can find ticket order forms in the Narthex and CLC lobby.Ā

Peanut Butter & Jelly Tree

DURING ADVENT,Ā the children will be learning about sharing and giving. One way for them to remember our less fortunate neighbors it to bring something to put under our “Peanut Butter & Jelly Tree.” The children can always relate to Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch, but not an empty tummy because there is no food. Help us provide non-perishable donations by having your child bring in a jar of Peanut Butter and Jelly, or any favorite canned or boxed good to put under our tree,Ā located 2nd floor of the Christian Life Center in the Children’s Ministry Hall.Ā Donations will be collectedĀ beginning Sunday, December 1 through December 22. Thank you for sharing and Caring. Children’s Ministry.

Poinsettia DedicationsĀ

IT’S TIME TO PLACE YOUR ORDERS FOR POINSETTIAS to honor a loved one, your family, or in memory of a loved one. The cost of the Poinsettia is $8 per plant. Poinsettia forms are available at the welcome stations in the CLC and Narthex.Ā  Complete a form with your dedication and return to the office by December 8. Thank you for helping make our church look festive for Christmas!

Matching Challenge

WE, AS COVENANT PARTNERS HAVE BEEN GIVEN A CHALLENGE to dig deep this holiday season and give towards a matching donation above and beyond our regular and pledged financial support. One of our covenant partners has generously pledged to match contributions up to $50,000 to be used towards paying down the church’s mortgage. As you may know, the church mortgage on the Christian Life Center (CLC) is currently $745,500, with a monthly mortgage payment of $6,275. Paying off our mortgage would free up $75,000 annually. Please prayerfully consider how you are being called to give and invest towards Eastminster’s future. You may donate in the same way as your regular church giving but please mark your donation ā€œMortgage Matchā€ so your gift can be applied toward the matching pledge. Donations for this program must be given to the church office by December 31. Blessings, Andrew Sain and Karen Jones, Stewardship and Finance Elders.

Welcome Basket for Jamie Dick and Family

EASTMINSTER, WE WOULD LOVE TO extend some famous Southern hospitality as we welcome our new Director of Music Ministries, Jamie Dick and his family to the church. A basket of goodies, gift cards, and other ā€œWelcome to East Cobbā€ items will be presented to them when they arrive in December. Session has approved this request for voluntary donations directly to Jamie Dick and his family. Ideas include: Gift cards from grocery stores, local restaurants, Walmart, Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Ikea, Home Depot, Lowes, etc. Also, basic household items: Paper towels, laundry detergent, disinfecting wipes, and other necessities that a family needs when they first move into a new home would be appropriate. There will be a large basket in the church office for donations now through December 22.

Must Ministries

PLEASE REMEMBER to bring your non-perishable items to put in our MUST barrels located in our lobbies. It is getting cold out and we have so many hungry children and families in Cobb County. Diapers and baby foods are also needed.Ā
