Women’s Ministry

2020 WOMEN’S RETREAT: Save the date! Our Women’s Retreat will take place on February 28-29, 2020. Our theme: Living a Balanced Christian Life. We’ll hear from some of our very own women, Valerie Mote, Katie Hudson, Carolyn Waters and Leigh Sain over the two days. On Saturday between 8:30am-2pm, we’ll gather at Eastminster Presbyterian Church and enjoy both breakfast and lunch in the Great Hall, and two programs. We’ll hear about grace and faith, enjoy music and deepen our connection with our fellow sisters in Christ. It will be a time to be poured into, and recharged by the Word of God, and leave refreshed and encouraged! The cost for our 2-day retreat is $35. Registration is available online at epres.org/women, and in person at church each Sunday in February. The deadline to register is Monday February 24. Please join us in covering this event in prayer, we cannot wait to see you there!

 GriefShare: Grief Support

IT HURTS TO LOSE SOMEONE. Find help at GriefShare, a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. Classes are weekly and run Tuesday, February 18-May 12. Please visit epres.org/grief to register, or contact Valerie Mote, (valerie.mote@epres.org). The cost is $15 for workbook, and you can bring a check or cash to our first meeting.

Blessings in a Backpack

DURING FEBRUARY, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for disadvantaged children who might go hungry on weekends and during school breaks.  Requested foods are: Granola bars, mac n cheese, cheese filled crackers, fruit cups, small packets of tuna, small cereal boxes, and any other nonperishable foods that will fit in a child’s backpack. Please drop donations in the marked bins in the Fellowship Hall and CLC lobby.
