Dear Eastminster Family,
We miss all of you and look forward to being together again. No one knows when the situation with COVID -19 will end, but we do know that it is temporary and that it WILL end. Through all of this Eastminster Presbyterian Church remains committed to the health and safety of our covenant partners and our staff. Cobb County announced a Declaration of Emergency to Respond to Coronavirus (COVID -19) that outlines many actions to be taken. One key guideline is that starting at 12 p.m. on March 25, 20202, and continuing until April 15, 2020 public gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibited anywhere in the county.
At this time, all in-person church activities will continue to be suspended until further notice (at least until April 15, 2020). The suspension includes the time we would normally gather for Holy Week events (Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter).
We are saddened that we will not be able to gather for these celebrations. But, we have hope in a resurrected Jesus, and we will celebrate together even if we must remain apart! So, Easter and Holy Week worship will just look a little different this year. The staff is working to plan how this will happen and will continue to communicate through emails and our website. Updates, prayers and service recordings will continue to be sent to you and posted on the site.
Our staff is continuing to work and is available by phone or email. Please support each other by staying in touch as much as possible. These are unprecedented times. Let’s be in prayer and available to those in need.
Grace and Peace,
The Eastminster Session
