Update on COVID-19: A letter from the Session

Dear Eastminster family,

Considering recent events related to COVID-19, Eastminster Session met to develop a plan during this unprecedented time. In order to protect the health and safety of our congregation and staff, we will temporarily suspend church events, as outlined below:

Worship Services and Christian Education classes on March 15th and March 22nd are suspended.
Wednesday Night Dinners are suspended and are planned to resume on April 15th.
All other church sponsored events will be suspended through the end of March, such as Small Groups, Bible Study, and Youth Activities.
The church facility will be closed through the end of March but our ministry and administrative staff will continue working and will be available by phone or email.

It was with heavy hearts that Session came to this decision. Many local events are being cancelled and officials are encouraging social distancing leading us to believe that suspending group gatherings related to Easminster was our best option. Session will re-evaluate before the end of March and provide an update.

In the meantime, we are currently working on providing Sermons online and will communicate once we have a solution.

Please continue to support each other by staying in touch as much as possible. If anyone is sick and needs assistance, please let our staff know. There are many people ready and willing to help.

We encourage the use of online giving as a safe and easy way to contribute as part of worship from home. You can visit our website www.epres.org/give/ or you can send a check to the office: 3125 Sewell Mill Road, Marietta, GA 30062.

We believe this is the best course of action to ensure the health and safety of our congregation, staff and community. Your support during this time is greatly appreciated.

Grace and Peace,
Eastminster Session
