Dear Eastminster Family,
After much prayer and discernment, the Eastminster Session has voted to postpone the plans for regathering for worship this week. Originally, it was planned that Eastminster would reopen for worship here on campus on Sunday, July 5th. However due to the rise in cases of COVID-19 throughout the state of Georgia and Cobb county, Session feels that it would be best to postpone this regathering. To that end, Session has delayed the reopening for at least two more weeks. The Session and Staff are continuing to monitor the spread of the virus, to listen closely to advice from our healthcare professionals, and to pray for God’s guidance as they make decisions about future gatherings.
Worship For July 12th:
EASTMINSTER IS GOING LIVE AGAIN THIS WEEK! The staff and our technology volunteers have been hard at work getting ready for our livestream worship services. We will be broadcasting ONE SERVICE this week at 10AM.Â
Here’s how it will work:
We will send you an email early on Sunday morning with links to our YouTube Channel, our Facebook page, our website and a PDF of our bulletin. You can log on at 10AM and be a part of our live worship serivce using any of those links. On Sunday afternoon, we will post the recorded link on our YouTube Channel and on our website so you can watch it anytime after that. All of the recorded services will continue to be available in our Online Service Library on the website. If you have any trouble, please call us in the office and we will be happy to assist you.
Going Forward
We will continue to update you about procedures and reopening plans as the weeks progress. The Session and the Staff are praying for each one of you, and we are grateful that the Holy Spirit continues to draw us together even as we must remain apart. But we are joyfully anticipating the day when we can gather together and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May the Lord keep His hand upon you until we meet again.
