Gathering Song We Gather Together
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing; He chastens and hastens
His will to make known; The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing sing praises to His name; He forgets not His own.
We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant, and pray that Thou
still our Defender wilt be. Let Thy congregation escape tribulation
Thy name be ever praised; O Lord, make us free!
*Call to Worship Rev. Aaron Moore
*Hymn of Praise Come Ye Thankful People Come
Come, ye thankful people, come; raise the song of harvest home
all is safely gathered in ere the winter storms begin.
God, our Maker, doth provide for our wants to be supplied.
Come to God’s own temple, come; raise the song of harvest home.
All the world is God’s own field, fruit unto His praise to yield
Wheat and tares together sown, unto joy or sorrow grown.
First the blade, and then the ear, then the full corn shall appear
Lord of harvest grant that we wholesome grain and pure may be.
For the Lord our God shall come, and shall take His harvest home
From His field shall in that day all offenses purge away.
Give His angels charge at last in the fire the tares to cast,
But the fruitful ears to store in His garner evermore.
Even so, Lord, quickly come to Thy final harvest-home
Gather Thou Thy people in, free from sorrow, free from sin.
There forever purified in Thy presence to abide.
Come, with all Thine angels come; raise the glorious harvest home.

Call to Confession Rev. Blake Hudson
Prayer of Confession
Leader: Loving God, we gather today, rich in blessing, somehow believing that we merit the wealth and comforts we enjoy. Forgive us, our God, for comfortably closing our eyes to the faces of the poor that stare blankly in our direction.
People: Lord, have mercy on us.
Leader: With bellies full of grain and meat, we offer token gestures to the hungry in our world and we feel we have done enough. Forgive us, God, for keeping a distance between “us” and “them,” for closing our ears to the cries of the hungry.
People: Christ, have mercy on us.
Leader:With hands tightly clasping our treasures on earth, we cannot reach out to our oppressed brothers and sisters around this world. Forgive us for clinging to our own possessions rather than to you. Unite us with hearts of thanksgiving,
that we may work to ensure freedom and justice for all.
People: Lord, have mercy on us.
Leader: Let us now confess our sins to God in silence.
Assurance of Pardon
Leader: God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
All: Hallelujah! Thanks be to God!
*Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
*The Affirmation of Faith The Apostles Creed Leigh Sain
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and
in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy
Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the
right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to
judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy
catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the
resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
Hymn of Thanksgiving For the Beauty of the Earth
For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies,
for the love which from our birth over and around us lies
Lord of all to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
For the beauty of each hour of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale and tree and flower sun and moon and stars of light
Lord of all to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
For the joy of human love brother, sister, parent, child
Friends on earth and friends above, for all gentle thoughts and mild
Lord of all to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
For thyself best gift divine to the world so freely given,
For that great great love of thine peace on earth and joy in Heaven
Lord of all to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.

Closing Hymn Now Thank We All Our God
Now thank we all our God with heart and hands and voices,
Who wondrous things hath done, in whom His world rejoices
Who, from our mothers’ arms hath blessed us on our way
With countless gifts of love, and still is ours today.
O may this bounteous God through all our life be near us,
With ever joyful hearts and blessed peace to cheer us
And keep us in His grace, and guide us when perplexed,
And free us from all ills in this world and the next.
All praise and thanks to God the Father now be given,
The Son, and Him who reigns with them in highest heaven,
The one eternal God, whom earth and heav’n adore;
For thus it was, is now, and shall be evermore.
