 *Hymn of Praise                           Holy, Holy, Holy

Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee.

Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Holy, holy, holy all the saints adore Thee,

Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea.

Cherubim and seraphim falling down before Thee,

Which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

Holy, holy, holy tho’ the darkness hide Thee,

Tho’ the eye of sinful man Thy glory may not see.

Only Thou art holy there is none beside Thee

Perfect in pow’r, in love, in purity.

Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty

All Thy works shall praise Thy Name in earth and sky and sea.

Holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

Call to Confession                                            Rev. Blake Hudson

Prayer of Confession

Holy God, help us! We are so slow to learn, so prone to forget and so weak to climb. We are in the foothills when we should be in the heights. We are ashamed of our graceless hearts, prayerless days, wasted hours, and missed opportunities. We are blind while light shines around us: open our eyes that we might see you. Help us to remember that through the blood of Jesus, we have been saved from death and claimed as your children forevermore. Let our only joy be the pursuit of your Son, so that we might find the rest and salvation we so desire. Have mercy upon us as we confess our sins to you in silence…

Time for Silent Confession

Assurance of Pardon

Leader: Brothers and sisters, rejoice! As far as the east is from the west, so far has God removed our transgressions from us!

All: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and made new! Alleluia, Amen!

*Gloria Patri
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

*The Affirmation of Faith                                                                       Leigh Sain

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Hymn of Thanksgiving  Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken

Glorious things of thee are spoken, Zion, city of our God;

He whose word cannot be broken formed thee for His own abode.

On the Rock of Ages founded, what can shake thy sure repose?

With salvation’s walls surrounded, Thou may’st smile at all thy foes.

See, the streams of living waters springing from eternal Love,

Well supply thy sons and daughters, and all fear of want remove.

Who can faint while such a river ever flows their thirst to assuage?

Grace which like the Lord, the Giver, never fails from age to age!

Round each habitation hov’ring, see the cloud and fire appear

For a glory and a cov’ring, showing that the Lord in near!

Thus they march, the pillar leading, light by night and shade by day,

Daily on the manna feeding which He gives them when they pray.

Savior, since of Zion’s city I thro’ grace a member am,

Let the world deride or pity; I will glory in Thy name.

Fading is the world’s best pleasure, all its boasted pomp and show;

Solid joys and lasting treasure none but Zion’s children know.

 Prayer of Thanksgiving                                                                                  Leigh Sain

*Doxology

Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Closing Hymn                                               How Firm a Foundation

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,

Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!

What more can He say than to you He hath said,

To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?

Fear not! I am with thee, O be not dismayed,

For I am thy God and will still give thee aid. I’ll strengthen thee,

Help thee, and cause thee to stand, upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie, my grace,

All sufficient, shall be thy supply. The flame shall not hurt thee;

I only design Thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine.

The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose; I will not, I will not desert to his foes. That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake, I’ll never, no never, no never forsake!
